Based in Paisley, Misty Concepts was founded by creator and lighting designer, Mel Watt, in 2015.

In 2016, Misty Concepts won a place with InCube Renfrewshire in Paisley, a business incubator formed by Renfrewshire Council, to take part in their business incubator program. Whilst with InCube Renfrewshire, Misty Concepts garnered immense attention for her work and hosted numerous successful public workshops on the art of paper folding, notably at one of Paisley's biggest events, the PaisleyMake Festival.

Towards the end of 2016, Misty Concepts was awarded a funded showcase space to exhibit with esteemed Scotland Re:Designed. and mentoring by William Knight, director of two of the UK's high profile design shows.

Misty Concepts recently showcased her work at the highly regarded and popular, the Scotland Trade Show.
