Designed to enhance the safety of local children, the initiative provides high-visibility vests to help keep them safe during the darker months.

In recognition of International Walk to School Month (October), the campaign focuses on making primary school children more visible as they walk, cycle or scoot to and from school. For the past five years, Home Safe has supported children across the West of Scotland, donating 8,000 vests to children.

Louise Caldwell, Sales Director for Miller Homes Scotland West added: “Our Home Safe initiative is very important to us, as it helps ensure children in our communities are as visible as possible during their walk to and from school.

“As the nights grow darker, road safety becomes even more crucial, especially during October when children are encouraged to walk to school. We’re excited to see families across the West of Scotland take part this year and pick up their high-vis vests.”

Families are now invited along to Miller Homes’ Sales Centre at selected developments, open Thursday to Monday, 10:30am-5:30pm. High-vis vests are available to all children aged 4-12 years old on a first-come, first-served basis.

Sales centres across the West of Scotland:
• Constarry Gardens, Croy
• Chapel Gardens, Dumbarton
• Thornly Park, Paisley
• Stoneyetts Village, Moodiesburn
• Highstonehall Park, Hamilton
• Jackton Gardens, East Kilbride
