Paisley Museum has now closed for a four-year transformation into a world-class destination based around the town’s unique collections and telling the inspirational stories of its pattern, people and heritage.
The £42m project is part of a wider investment in the town’s cultural infrastructure being led by Renfrewshire Council to bring new life and footfall to the town centre.
The collections will still be open to the public at Paisley: The Secret Collection – the first publicly-accessible museum store on a UK high street.
More info on the Paisley Museum Reimagined project can be found on the Paisley.is website.
Coats Observatory is the oldest public observatory in Scotland and was gifted to the people of Paisley by Thomas Coats and designed by Glasgow Architect John Honeyman.
