The Hangar' is brand new evening curated by musicians Sushil K Dade (The Soup Dragons / Future Pilot AKA) & Radhika, bringing together Scotland’s alternative artistic community for a multi-arts celebration of music, film, and unexpected collaborations. Each night will feature special guests, exclusive performances, and handpicked films that inspire and challenge the way we experience art. Alongside ad-hoc music from Radhika and Sushil.
A rare, intimate evening with Duglas T Stewart, the heart and soul of the legendary BMX Bandits. Expect a special duo performance (with Andrew Pattie), a Duglas DJ set, and a hand-selected film screening of one of his all-time favourites.
"If I could be in any other band, it would be BMX Bandits." – Kurt Cobain
Since 1985, Duglas T Stewart has led BMX Bandits, hailed by The Guardian as "Britain’s ultimate cult group." Born from Bellshill’s vibrant music scene, the band has released 12 studio albums internationally, collaborating with icons like Dan Penn, Alex Chilton, Kim Fowley, Chip Taylor, and Anton Newcombe (The Brian Jonestown Massacre). Beyond music, Duglas has worked extensively in film and television, from BBC music programming to acting and composing. His latest score, for the psychological horror film Dreaded Light, is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video, and was recorded in collaboration with Andrew Pattie. Duglas and BMX Bandits are also the subjects of acclaimed documentaries Teenage Superstars and Serious Drugs. Their latest album, Dreamers on the Run, was released in April 2024.
This is a rare opportunity to experience Duglas’s world—his music, his inspirations, and a film that has shaped his artistic journey.
