Building on the success of previous creative writing classes I invite you to join me in the beautiful surroundings of Castle Semple in Lochwinnoch. Working with our senses participants will have the chance to flex their writing muscles using their senses to guide them. The agenda for the day is as follows

Hot drinks , welcome introductions and muses
10:30 AM - 11:00 AM
Writing Mix Up
A group exercise using a range of words to create a short piece of fiction
11:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Seeing is Believing
Selecting from a range of visual prompts participants put themselves into the story and prepare a piece of flash fiction
12:30 PM - 1:00 PM
Hearing for Perspective
Using our second sense participants are invited to write a short piece of prose from whatever is inspired from the noises that are heard.
1:00 PM - 2:00 PM
Lunch
An opportunity to enjoy a delicious lunch and have a walk in the beautiful surroundings of Castle Semple Loch.
2:00 PM - 2:30 PM
The Joy of Rhyme
Using the joy of beats to understand how work is performed with meaning
2:30 PM - 3:00 PM
Touching Times
Participants will be invited to touch a number of items and then invite to write in rhyme or free verse
3:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Tasty Bites
In our final hour we will taste some food blindfolded and complete some free writing from the memories the foods evoke.
This course is suitable whether you are just considering writing or for those more established in writing practise. Please note that the price includes lunch/refreshments and all materials. You only need to bring a pen of your choice!
