About Santa’s Grotto and Carnival

The big man with the white beard and big red coat will be in his Grotto at the popular garden centre at various times from now until Christmas.

And there will also be fantastic carnival rides for youngsters to enjoy during our festive celebrations.

For the weekends of Saturday and Sunday November 11 and 12 and November 18 and 19, Santa’s Grotto and Carnival at Cardwell will be open from noon till 5pm.
On Saturday and Sunday, November 25 and 26 the opening time is 10am till 5pm. And on Wednesday and Thursday, November 29 and 30, the Grotto and Carnival will be open from 1pm till 4.30pm.

During December opening times will be Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, 1pm till 4.30pm; Saturdays and Sundays 10am till 5pm; Monday, December 18 to Friday December 23, 1pm till 4.30pm and on Christmas Eve, 10am till 4pm.

There’s no need to pre-book a visit to Santa’s Grotto, as it’s first-come-first-served on the day. Schools, groups and nurseries should contact us on 01475 521536 to organise their visit to Santa’s Grotto an Carnival.

Cardwell’s retail general manager, Paul Carmichael said: “Santa’s been in touch with us and says he can’t wait to meet all the youngsters who’ll come to Cardwell to see him this year.

“It’s a magical time of year for families and it’s wonderful to see the excitement on youngsters’ faces when they visit Santa in his Grotto.”
