Gleniffer High School’s Christmas Fayre is taking place on Thursday 28th November 2024 from 6pm – 8.30pm and you’re all invited. Organised by the school’s Parent Teachers Association, the fayre features a large variety of stalls selling handmade gifts for all the family including hand designed glassware, wax melts, Scottish sweets, decorations, personalised frames, pet treats, toys, and much more.
A tombola and raffle have been arranged, with prizes including jewellery and spa vouchers, cinema tickets, hampers, books, jigsaws, a signed St Mirren strip and ball, a bottle stall and there’s the chance to meet Santa and his elves in the grotto with a selection box for each child.
The PTA and Student leaders will be hosting a stall at the Fayre selling pre-loved Christmas jumpers and a selection of books. All monies raised will go to Gleniffer High School to help pay for school trips, sports equipment and other activities.
Julie Connell, Chair of Gleniffer High School Parent Council, commented: “Everyone is welcome to come along to our Christmas Fayre! This is our biggest fundraiser of the year, and the funds help to pay for school trips, sports equipment and other activities, all year round. Thanks to the local businesses who donated prizes and to the stall holders for coming along to sell their gifts. There’s something for every budget this year and we look forward to welcoming families and those from the local community.”
Lisa Chalmers, Head Teacher of Gleniffer High School, commented: “This is a great way of supporting our school and getting into the Christmas spirit. We have a wide range of stalls on offer, giving you the opportunity to buy your Christmas presents, while supporting local businesses and our school. There are also some great prizes on offer as part of our raffle and tombola. All welcome!”
The event takes place in the school social area. Gleniffer High School, 2 Amochrie Drive, Paisley, PA2 0AG. From 6pm – 8.30pm. Entry is £2 and includes refreshments.
