Janine Baldwin returns to the gallery with the exhibition 'Windswept Land' - this time together with Dunbar-based artist Eleanor Cunnigham.
You can see the new paintings that will be in this exhibition on the gallery web-site: birchtreegallery.co.uk/artists/janine-baldwin
After giving a brief introduction to her creative background and techniques, Janine will show us how she creates a collage - using initial mark making on a variety of papers, and assembling unique shapes to form a landscape.
Janine lives in Scarborough on the North Yorkshire coast and produces paintings, prints and works on paper inspired by land and sea. She has exhibited extensively across the UK, including with the Royal Academy of Arts and the Society of Women Artists. Janine is an elected member of the Pastel Society, an Associate Artist of Unison Colour pastels.
Since 2006 she has been a conservation volunteer for the North York Moors National Park, working on projects such as tree planting and butterfly habitat management - these projects have allowed a deeper understanding of the landscape, in turn enriching the artwork she creates.
This is a free seated event, but the seating is limited. Therefore, if something comes up at the last minute, please cancel your reservation on-line or notify the gallery to allow somebody else to attend.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
